DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide) is a clear, odorless non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID). The molecular structure allows DMSO to penetrate through skin and cell membranes. Most commonly used for horses as a topical treatment for bruises, strained muscles and soft tissue injuries. Vets frequently use DMSO topically for its direct anti-inflammatory effect and tissue penetration. Monitor for local irritation. Gel formulation.
