Half Cheek Copper Wire Wrapped Snaffle 4 3/4″

• The mouthpiece of this snaffle bit is made of copper wire wrapped around a central core.
• It has a half cheek design, which means it has cheekpieces on only one side of the mouthpiece.
• The cheekpiece prevents the bit from sliding out of the horse’s mouth when the reins are used for commands.

Function and Use:

• Driving Horses: Half cheek snaffle bits are predominantly used for driving horses. They provide control and direction when driving a horse in harness.
• Stability: The bottom cheek piece ensures that the bit remains stable in the horse’s mouth during turns and maneuvers.
• Gentle and Friendly: Snaffle bits, including the half cheek design, are considered gentle and beginner-friendly. They are often used for young horses in training and by novice riders.

Material:

• The copper wire wrapping on the mouthpiece provides a pleasant taste for the horse, encouraging acceptance of the bit.
• Other materials used for snaffle bits include sweet iron, vulcanite, and synthetic materials.
