Overview
Orphan No More Calf Claimer is an aromatic powder designed to help cows accept orphaned, grafted, or transferred calves by masking the unfamiliar scent of the new calf. Cows identify their calves primarily by smell, and rejection of a foreign calf is one of the most common and frustrating challenges in cow-calf operations — particularly when grafting an orphan onto a cow that has lost her own calf, or when transferring a calf from another dam. By applying Calf Claimer to both the cow’s nose and the calf’s body, the scent-masking formula helps reduce the cow’s natural rejection response and encourages bonding. The 9 oz powder format is easy to apply and provides an extended supply for operations managing multiple grafting situations during calving season.
