Washing a turnout is half the job; the other half is making it shed rain again. BlockAide™ is a ready-to-use, water-based spray that puts water and oil repellency back into the shell and holds through multiple launderings and dry-cleaning cycles, which Schneiders rates at three times the life of other over-the-counter sprays. Launder and dry the blanket, hang it, spray the outside from 6 to 12 inches, let it air dry, and re-apply when water stops beading. An average 78-inch turnout takes 5 to 10 oz, so the 32 oz bottle treats 3 to 6 blankets. Free of PFAS, works on natural and synthetic shells, made in the USA. Contents separate on the shelf: shake well before every use, and do not let it freeze.
