The white mouth Dexter snaffle from Zilco has a large ring. It gives the same action as the plain dexter snaffle but with a white mouth piece. The jointed white mouth piece has a warmer feel than a metal bit and is lighter in the mouth. This is more readily accepted by young horses and can be useful as an early bit.

What is the Dexter Snaffle Bit?
Category of Bit: Snaffle
Action: The large ring encircles the jaw which greatly improves steering and prevents the bit being pulled through the mouth. Used in conjunction with a jointed mouthpiece the Dexter Snaffle has a nutcracker action though this is reduced from a straightforward jointed bit by the large ring which is usually attached in three places to the mouthpiece
Advantages: The Dexter greatly improves steering and is popular as a racing bit for hard pullers. Greatly reduces the risk of the bit being pulled through the mouth.
