The Zilco loose buckle piece has two main uses within the Zilco range. Firstly it is designed to be used in conjunction with the Pair Breeching Strap for Classic and Elite Harness. In this case the strap is looped through the breeching ring, and is then used to connect to the Pair Breeching Strap.
In the second case the loose buckle piece is attached to the back strap of the driving saddle to allow the traces to pass through for a tandem leader.
