The Zilco SL Sportz breastplate comes with integral traces with uni-end.
It measures 190cm (75″) from centre of the chest to end of the trace coupler, 155cm on shortest hole.
This style of breastplate is considered a good option for small ponies and Shetlands which don’t have much room for a breastplate but like a wider breastplate than available on the standard SL Breastplate. The design of the empathy collar allows clearance for the point of shoulder and the windpipe without compromising on width and thus weight bearing distribution.
Please note wither strap and false martingale are not included and must be purchased separately.
What is an Empathy Breastplate Collar?
The empathy breastplate was designed to improve the comfort for the horse/pony. The upswept shoulder area is designed to facilitate the best possible paces and freedom of movement in any horse or pony. The empathy breast collar is particularly useful for ponies with a low headset as it gives a little extra room for the windpipe whilst still clearing the point of shoulder.
